This chorus performs in the Light the Fire…Share the Torch Blockbuster on July 14 from 7:15 to 9:00PM on the MCC Auditorium Stage.

Join your voice with seasoned singers in a first-ever GALA Choruses Prime Time Festival Chorus, conducted by Willi Zwozdesky (he/him) and Ash (they/she). Put yourself forward and put a face on the strength, skill, and beauty of our 65+ voices!  Great music and messages, great company, intense but short rehearsals, a high energy performance to close Festival — it’s our time to shine.

These are the three songs that the Prime Time Festival Chorus will perform in our own set:

  • Anthem, by Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen arranged by Zwozdesky
  • Nitohtamok Askiy by Sherryl Sewepagaham
  • I Lived arranged by Jacob Narverud

In addition, our chorus will join the GenZ Festival Chorus to perform “Wake Your Dreams” by Brody Ray. Ash has arranged this song especially for this concert and is our guest conductor in the combined rehearsals and performance with the youth. There are some great solo opportunities in this song so be sure to sign up for those auditions!
