What is Festival?

GALA Choruses’ signature event is our quadrennial Festival, the largest LGBTQIA+ choral event in the world, gathering singers for a joyful celebration of music and community.

What’s Different in 2028?

The Festival livestream will be automatically included with the cost of full delegate registration (early, regular, and late)
Delegates can choose to pay for registration in installments—up to 6 automated payments, to be completed no later than March 31, 2028
The 2028 Festival will have a new logo and visual brand, to be revealed at a later date
Non-delegates will be able to purchase day passes instead of single concert tickets for in-person attendance
We will have more GALA Choruses merchandise available for preorder, while maintaining a selection of merch that will be available on-site
We are increasing our documentation and materials available in Spanish

At this stage of Festival planning, we are able to share a preliminary timeline of key dates and deadlines. We also have an informational monthly webinar series starting in September 2026 that will cover a variety of topics for chorus leadership and individual delegates. Help Every Chorus Get to Festival 2028 — Donate to the Festival 2028 Fund

We want Festival 2028 to be our largest, most diverse one yet — and that includes our choruses with less funds available to enable them to make the trip. GALA Choruses is building a fund to offset registration costs for our members with financial need. Whether they've only just joined since Festival 2024 or they've been in GALA Choruses for years yet never made it to Festival, whether they're based in North, South, or Central America, we will assist as much as we are able so that no chorus has to miss Festival simply due to a lack of resources. We invite all who are able to donate to contribute and help gather as much of our LGBTQIA+ and allied choral community as possible when we meet again in Minneapolis in less than two years.
