LGBTQIA+ young people raise their voices in song!
LGBTQ+ youth need a safe place where they can be themselves. As a group, the youngest members of our community are at high risk for bullying, depression, violence, homelessness and suicide. Belonging to an organized group of peers – especially one with artistic activity, is vital to our young persons’ well-being.
The first North American LGBTQ+ youth chorus was Glass Youth Choir, formed in Vancouver BC in 2001. Glass is no longer performing, but the following youth choruses are active.
