Festival 2020 is shaping up to be a landmark moment in LBGTQ+ choral history. The largest gay choral gathering in the world also comes at a time of political upheaval and social retrenchment in the U.S. and many governments around the world. Our voices of equality and social justice for all people must play a role in inspiring policies and leadership that bring progressive change.
If the future success of our choral movement matters to you, then we invite you to consider joining us at Pinnacle, our quadrennial celebration and fundraiser at Festival. 300 singers and chorus leaders will come together after concerts on Monday evening July 6 to honor our successes and raise funds to empower our voices to meet the challenge of changing our world through song. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages, a festive auction, inspiring stories, and a keynote address by noted NY Times columnist Frank Bruni.
In his widely-read columns, Frank often weaves his gay identity and experiences into his opinion pieces, ensuring that our voices are part of the context of the national conversation. Frank’s keynote, coming just days before the Democratic National Convenion, will help us connect our work and vision to current events.
Tickets for Pinnacle are $125, include the full evening with ample hors d’oeuvres and a complimentary beverage. Limited VIP donors at $250 will also enjoy a private reception and Q&A with Frank after the main event. All proceeds from the event benefit the mission and work of GALA Choruses. Tickets are on sale now, so reserve your spot! http://galachoruses.org/events/gala-festival/pinnacle-reception
Together our voices will prepare us to meet the challenges of the coming four years.
