Welcome to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul! While Festival offers a great many entertainment options included with your delegate registration, there is certainly much more to do and see if you’ve got the time. Also, while downtown Minneapolis is not the most inexpensive of cities, there are several ways to enjoy it while keeping to a slim budget. Here are a few ideas.


Trans & Nonbinary Festival Chorus, conducted by Kimberly Waigwa (they/them), is open to singers who identify as transgender, nonbinary or intersex. This chorus will perform in Banned Blockbuster on July 13 from 9:00 to 10:15 PM on the MCC Auditorium Stage.

GALA’s first ever TransFusion Cabaret on Friday, July 12, 7pm–8:30pm. This show will uplift trans, nonbinary and intersex voices, and feature GALA Festival singers performing with folks local to the Twin Cities!


Voces Latinas Festival Chorus, conducted by Lígia Pucci (she/they) is an SATB chorus featuring music of Latin, Central and South America. All songs are in Spanish; all singers welcome! This chorus performs in the Harmonies of the Sphere Blockbuster on July 13 from 7:15 to 8:30PM on the Orchestra Hall Stage.

GALA Choruses signature event is our quadrennial Festival, which gathers LGBTQ+ choruses from all over North America and the world.


A brief description of offerings and history of the GALA Choruses organization.


GALA Choruses is the association that binds nearly 200 choruses together.  Founded in the United States, we have expanded throughout North America and the world.  However, the majority of choruses are located in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
