
Justin Fyala
Justin is a dynamic leader in the choral world, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW)—a role he has championed since 2016. In 2026, he furthered his commitment to the global LGBTQIA+ choral movement by stepping into the role of Board President for GALA Choruses.
With a career defined by organizational growth and artistic excellence, Justin’s leadership previously transformed the Windy City Gay Chorus & Treble Quire, the Youth Choral Theater of Chicago, and Bella Voce. His versatility is his trademark: he has navigated the artistic and operational complexities of world-class institutions including the Kennedy Center, IMG Artists, and the Dallas Opera. From stage managing to serving as a collegiate vocal coach and international adjudicator, Justin brings a 360-degree perspective to arts management. He holds a Masters in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University, with additional degrees in Voice and Choral Music Education from the University of North Texas and The Pennsylvania State University.
