Multae Voces Festival Chorus

Multae Voces, conducted by Dominick DiOrio (he/him) and Trans Chorus of LA Artistic Director Abdullah Rasheen-Hall (they/them), is an SATB chorus for all singers and we especially welcome singers at Festival who are not performing with a home chorus. Our first performance is for the Festival Opening at Peavey Plaza stage so singers must arrive at Festival for morning rehearsals on July 10. This chorus also performs in the Peace of Wild Things Blockbuster, July 11th from 7:15 to 8:30 PM on the Central Lutheran Stage.

Join internationally recognized composer and conductor Dominick DiOrio and Trans Chorus of LA Artistic Director Abdullah Rasheen-Hall to sing in the Multae Voces Festival Chorus! 

Abby and the Multae Voces Chorus will perform and lead the opening song for the official July 10 GALA Festival Opening Ceremonies at 5:00 pm in Peavey Plaza!

Dominick is conducting the performance in the Peace of Wild Things Blockbuster concert on July 11. This concert speaks to the importance of preserving and protecting our world. Dominick is known for his incredible energy in performance, for his empathy in creating safe spaces for choral exploration, and for his commitment and advocacy of new music. July 11 repertoire includes:

  • “More Waters Rising” by gay Filipino composer Saunder Choi
  • “The Storm is Passing Over” by Black Gospel artist Barbara Baker
  • “Easy on the Earth” arr by Shawn Kirchner

Our first performance is for the Festival Opening at Peavey Plaza stage so singers should arrive for morning rehearsals on July 10.

  • July 10 Rehearsals 10:30 AM-12:30 PM and 2:00-4:00 PM
  • July 10 Festival Opening performance 5:00 pm – 5:45 PM. Peavey Plaza Outdoor Stage
  • July 11 Rehearsal and Tech Rehearsal 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Central Lutheran Stage
  • July 11 Perform in Peace of Wild Things Blockbuster 7:15-8:30 PM. Central Lutheran Stage

To sign up for a Festival Chorus log into the Integra Online Store: open the “Quick links” drop-down menu on your home page, and select the Online Store option.  On the store Purchase Items page, select the chorus you wish to join with your particular voice part.
