Youth Choruses

Singers from GALA Youth Choruses are invited to attend Festival 2024!  Youth choruses wishing to perform a set are welcome to register now. Youth choruses who are unsure whether they will have the youth or resources to attend the Festival are welcome to take their time and indicate interest sometime before the end of 2023.

Youth Choruses Planning to Attend

Youth choruses who already know they will attend Festival 2024 are welcome to register now and may participate in these performance opportunities, in addition to additional community performances. 

Concert Block Performance

Youth Choruses who have enough singers and support (chaperones, additional funds, etc.) to perform a 30-minute set at the Festival should register for Festival in order to secure their performance spot. 

Youth Choruses who register for a 30-min set performance may choose to perform that set on their own or in collaboration with another youth chorus. 

Mass Youth Chorus Performance

Youth choruses are invited to rehearse and perform together as a mass youth chorus in one of the evening BlockBusters. 

Youth Choruses Unsure About Festival Attendance 

Youth choruses who are unsure whether they will have the youth or resources to attend the Festival are welcome to take their time and indicate interest sometime before the end of 2023. 

At that time, you are welcome to bring as many youth as you are able. Your chorus will not have a designated performance slot on your own, but your youth can rehearse and perform with the Youth mass chorus in one of the evening Blockbuster concerts. 

All Youth at Festival 2024

  • Youth attending Festival are invited to participate as audience members in all the Festival 2024 events, concerts, and workshops. There will be several workshops planned specifically for queer youth. 
  • GALA Choruses will waive individual registration fees and will pay for housing and mass chorus costs for any youth from a GALA Youth Chorus whether they are attending as a full chorus or not. 
  • Youth Choruses are responsible for covering chorus registration (if performing in a concert block), youth and chaperone travel expenses and meals.
