Artistic Operations Manager

This role reports to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Annual Leadership Symposium schedule with the Executive Director
  • Serve as primary liaison with member choruses and venues of the annual Leadership Symposium and the quadrennial GALA Festival for rehearsal and performance scheduling, deadlines, performance needs, musicians, guest clinicians, and workshop presenters
  • Coordinate workshops for various related festivals and conferences (e.g. Legato, Unison Choruses Canada, Sister Singers, Out and Loud and Proud, Proud Voices Asia, Chorus America, American Choral Directors Association)
  • Develop and implement plan for GALA to table and network relevant conferences and events
  • In conjunction with the Membership and Communications Manager, develop marketing tools and step-by-step guides for GALA directors to be liaisons to their local choral conducting chapters
  • Manage GALA AD list serve
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrable ability to function within tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Experience delivering large-scale programming and events

Proposed compensation: $25,000

Part time

This role is at-will and open-ended at the discretion of the Executive Director.

NOTE: In the twelve months prior to the quadrennial festival, this role will expand and compensation will be commensurate.
