All About Love

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Diversity: The Voices of Sarasota is proud to present two special concerts featuring the universal theme of love. These musical events will be held at the Glenridge Performing Arts Center, 7333 Scotland Way, Sarasota, FL 34238, with performances on Saturday, May 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 6 at 3 p.m.

Diversity’s singers will enchant audiences with beautiful songs celebrating love of all kinds, from romantic love to familial love and friendship. The concert program will include “Somewhere” and “Tonight” from West Side Story; “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables; songs from The King and I and a Cole Porter Medley, including “Let’s Fall in Love.”
A highlight of the concert will be the song “I Love You More” by Ann Hampton Callaway, commissioned in memory of Tyler Clementi, a bright and talented young gay man who committed suicide in 2010 after cyber-bullying by peers.

Special musical guests will be soloist Jenny Kim-Godfrey and the charming duo of Jon Arterton and James Mack. Singers will be led by Diversity’s Interim Artistic Director Bruce Ensinger with piano accompaniment by Pete Sims.

Tickets to “All About Love” are $20 in advance, available from Diversity’s singers or online at WWW.DIVERSITYSARASOTA.ORG. If not sold out, tickets may also be available at the door at the Glenridge Performing Arts Center prior to each concert. For more information, please call 888-550-6279.
