Symposium Singers’ Chorus

Can't get enough Festival? Join your fellow GALA singers from choruses far and wide for a weekend of beautiful music, new vocal techniques, informative worships, and lifelong connections with singers from other GALA Choruses.

GALA Choruses' annual Leadership Symposium is January 20-22, 2017 in beautiful, sunny Palm Springs, CA and YOU are invited! In addition to skill building workshops for volunteer leadership, singers will participate in a Symposium Singers' Chorus that will rehearse throughout the weekend and perform for Symposium delegates on Sunday morning.

Symposium Singers choruses will be led by clinician, Michael Hayden (SATB) and Joe Nadeau (TTBB). Singers are invited to join either chorus. Sing in a TTBB chorus? Try out the SATB chorus! Always wanted to try out a TTBB chorus? Go for it!

Michael Hayden is the choral director at Mira Costa High School in California. Dr. Joe Nadeau is the Artistic Director of the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.

Dr. Joe Nadeau

"Joe Nadeau is a conductor whose career has been dedicated to LGBT choruses. From his work with the Denver Gay Men's Chorus, to the Heartland Men's Chorus and Kansas City Women's Chorus, and now the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, Joe has built a formidable reputation as one of GALA's most gifted and innovative conductors." - Bob Mensel, Portland Gay Men's Chorus Artistic Director

Michael Hayden

"If you sing with Michael Hayden, expect to be amazed, challenged, and to learn things about your voice that you never knew were possible!" - Jane Ramseyer Miller, GALA Artistic Director
