GALA Artistic Directors are invited to join us in Minneapolis to tour the Festival 2024 concert halls, and to learn about Festival planning!.

When—April 28 & 29, 2023 with a social gathering Thursday evening

What—tour Festival 2024 performance halls and presentations on Festival logistics and preparation
Who—chorus Artistic Directors who want to tour Festival 2024 halls in person

Schedule

Thurs, April 27
- Arrive Hyatt Regency downtown Minneapolis.
- Informal gathering in the evening.
Fri, April 28
- Morning: Festival info session with GALA staff
- Morning tour Central Lutheran Church
- Lunch provided by Match My Sound
- Afternoon: tours of Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis Convention Center Auditorium and Ballroom
- Happy hour "speed dating" with local Minnesota composers
- Evening: free time or Beethoven/Bruckner concert at Orchestra Hall
Sat, April 29
- Brunch provided and Artistic Director conversations and workshops
  - Advocating for yourself as an Artistic Director
  - Carving out creative time
- Event officially concludes at noon. Time to explore Mpls.
- Evening: optional comp tickets for Beethoven/Bruckner concert at Orchestra Hall

Book your room at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis with this discounted rate.

Rooms are still available at the Hyatt Regency for Thursday and Friday at the group rate but they are sold out on Saturday. If your stay extends through Saturday night the Millenium Hotel across the street has rooms available.

Travel
The Blue Line train connects MPS airport to downtown Minneapolis.

Note: There will not be a GALA Leadership Symposium in spring 2023, but GALA will offer a series of on-line workshops for all kinds of GALA leadership positions.
