Ground Transportation Options from Miami International Airport

With recent additions and improvements made to the extensive Greater Miami transportation system, getting around town has never been easier. From the moment visitors arrive, our Miami transportation specialists work hard to ensure that getting around Greater Miami and the Beaches will be smooth sailing - and flying, driving or riding.

Taxicabs and SuperShuttle vans are available on the ARRIVAL (ground) level at Miami International Airport, outside of the baggage claim areas. MIA has wheelchair-accessible taxicabs and SuperShuttle vans available upon request to any taxi starter, located on the ground level of the terminal, outside the baggage claim area.

The Miami Dade Transit website contains information on taking public transportation from the airport such as bus depot location at the airport , information phone numbers, and other general information.

Bus route from MIA – passenger terminal located downstairs (arrival level 1) in the "bus loop" – take Route "7" to Downtown Miami – which will end at SW 1st Street & SW 1st Court – walk one block North to Government Center (111 NW First Street) and connect on the second level of the train station to the MetroMover line – take the OMNI Loop to the station, which will drop off passengers in the vicinity of the Hilton, Marriott and Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.

Discounted Super Shuttle Information for Miami Airport

The delegates options for a discounted fare are:

1. Check in with the Super Shuttle Kiosk curbside at the airport and self declare they are part of GALA Choruses and receive a discounted fare of $13, (a $2 discount from full fare). No advance reservation is needed. This is a one way fare.
   
   
2. Gather in a group of 10 delegates and ask the curbside kiosk for an “Exclusive Van” which goes for a single rate of $55 (or $5.50/person) No advance reservation is needed. This is a one way fare.

RETURN POLICY FOR ALL DELEGATES:

A. All trips from downtown hotels to the Miami Airport for your homebound segment are scheduled the day before departure from your hotel. The day before wanting to get to the airport you must call and make a pickup reservation. NO EXCEPTIONS. The above discount schedule and Exclusive Van rates apply for return trips.

Transportation Options from Ft Lauderdale International Airport

The shuttle provider at FLL airport is GO Airport Shuttle.

From FLL to downtown Miami the fare one-way is approximately $20, plus tips – limit of 2 checked and one carry-on bag. They also can meet groups if arranged in advance. Their website is www.floridalimo.com and they accommodate online reservations.
