The Original Odd Girl: My Life in Pulp Fiction

Ann, who is the author of the Beebo Brinker Chronicles, landmark books in lesbian literature, discusses her life experience in NYC in the 1950s and the classic pulp fiction that grew out of it. She will be joined by the Seattle Women's Chorus. Through this workshop you will understand how lesbian pulp fiction helped define the lesbian community in the US during the mid-twentieth century. You will also be introduced to "Vixen Fiction", a concert program for women's chorus that explores lesbian pulp fiction in drama, readings and music.
